We don’t often think of our diet to be connected to things like good skin but it is a major factor in having healthy skin. I recently read an article that said they have even linked some skin conditions such as eczema to a poor diet. One of the most important vitamins to promote good skin health is Vitamin A. One of the easiest ways to get your daily allowance of Vitamin A is in low fat dairy products. We can also find Vitamin A in butternut squash, pumkin, sweet potatoes, mangos, spinach, and carrots just to name a few. We also need Vitamin C in our diet for healthy skin, eating foods like cauliflower, oranges, grapefruit, kiwi and mangoes will give you a good source of Vitamin C. Another benefit to healthy skin are foods that are antioxidant such as strawberries, plums and blackberries. There are many ways that we can help promote healthy skin. Having a good diet is one of the easiest ways to promote healthy skin. Drinking plenty of water is essential to promote good health all around but it is a very important factor to have healthy looking skin. Just remember, we are what we eat.
